There are two areas of awards given out by the TCAFS: Outstanding Fisheries Worker of the Year (10 categories) and Outstanding Presentation and Poster for both professional and student presenters at the annual meetings.

Each year the Awards Committee solicits and evaluates nominations and then selects recipients for Outstanding Fisheries Worker of the Year. The awards are presented at the annual meeting for the categories listed below that received nominations.

During the annual meetings, judges will evaluate the student presentations and posters based on the presentation criteria. The Outstanding Student Presentation and Poster Award recipients will be announced in the TCAFS newsletter, with the awards given at the following annual Chapter meeting.
