Tennessee Chapter AFS Student Sponsorship Competition for the Southern Division AFS 2026 Conference- Due January 9th 2026
The Tennessee Chapter of the American Fisheries Society (TNAFS) will be fully funding one student to attend the 2026 meeting of the Southern Division of the American Fisheries Society (SDAFS) in New Orleans, LA from March 5-8th, 2026. Full funding will include a room at The Sheraton New Orleans (conference hotel; including parking), student registration, a national AFS membership (if not currently a member), travel (mileage at CONUS rate or airplane ticket/shuttle/parking), and per diem (CONUS rate minus provided meals).
Eligibility requirements:
-Must be a student (undergraduate or graduate) currently enrolled in a college or university in Tennessee at the time of the meeting.
-Must have a financial need to attend this meeting i.e., you would not be able to attend without the support of this scholarship.
-Must be able to volunteer for 4 hours during the meeting.
