Jimmie Pigg Student Travel Scholarship<\/h3>\n

The Jimmie Pigg Student Travel Scholarship is named after
\neducator and aquatic biologist Mr. Jimmie Pigg who donated the
\ninitial Chapter funding to create the award. The fund provides
\nmonetary travel awards for deserving graduate students and
\nexceptional undergraduates to attend American Fisheries Society\"\"<\/a>
\nmeetings.<\/p>\n

Any student who is active in fisheries and related aquatic
\ndisciplines is eligible to apply. Recipients are selected by
\nthe Chapter Nominating and Awards Committee and are presented
\nthe award at the fall business meeting. Selection is based on
\nacademic qualifications, professional service and contribution
\nto fisheries, and the applicant’s demonstrated desire\/need for
\nthe award.<\/p>\n

Financial support will be $1000 for successful applicants.
\nAwards will be based on merit and will not necessarily be given
\neach year.<\/p>\n
