The goal of this award is to promote innovative and particularly applicable genetics research, increase interest in fisheries genetics careers, and enhance professional connections among fisheries geneticists. The candidate\u2019s genetics work should be applicable to the Society\u2019s mission to \u201cimprove the conservation and sustainability of fishery resources and aquatic ecosystems by advancing fisheries and aquatic science\u201d. The award will be presented at the Genetics Section meeting during the AFS Annual Meeting.<\/p>\n<p>Nominations are due 29 July 2025. See <a href=\"https:\/\/oldunitsstaging.fisheries.org\/genetics\/awards\/early-career-award\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Early Career Award<\/a> for nomination instructions.
