Folks! It is that time of the year again when we recognize our promising early-career geneticists! Please nominate your candidate(s) to be recognized at AFS Annual Meeting!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Eligibility: A nominee must be a full or affiliate member of the AFS Genetics Section and must be within five years of having completed graduate training, including post-doctoral research, and in the initial stages of career development in an academic, agency, NGO, or other conservation setting. There are no restrictions on (1) nominators or (2) number of nominations.<\/p>\n

Nomination package: Nominations should provide clear evidence of how the candidate\u2019s research furthers our understanding of fish evolution, ecology, conservation or management. Leadership in integrating genetic research with education or end-user\/community outreach is considered strongly.<\/p>\n

  1. Cover letter with nominee\u2019s name, professional address, and contact information (please include the same information for the person submitting the nomination)<\/li>\n
  2. One-page nomination letter<\/li>\n
  3. Curriculum vitae of the nominee<\/li>\n
  4. Three reprints of publications or other materials representative of the nominee\u2019s contribution to fisheries genetics<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
